To The Top Of Vermont!

The trip has gone very well. I am very thankful for that. Today went very well. I did my usual 8 mile bike ride to reach Rochester. The ride back to the Gathering Inn. I enjoyed a nice breakfast sandwich and coffee at Sandy's.
Then I set out with Paul. Who is also staying at the Gathering Inn. To hike the second highest mountain, in The Green Mountains. The mountain name is Camel's Hump.
Paul and I hiked up the "Burrows Trail". The distance was 2.4 miles each way. The trail was very physically demanding at the higher elevations to reach the summit. However it was worth every step to reach the top of Vermont! Enjoy the photos of the experience.

The Lake They Call "Champlain"

They honored the life of famous French Explorer Samuel D. Champlain. For being the first European to discover "The State of Vermont" in 1609. By naming this wonderful place to be. The French word for green mountain. Also the picturesque lake. That forms the boarder between New York State and Vermont. Was named "Lake Champlain" to honor the great man's legacy!
Today in the city of Burlington. Located at the intersection of Pearl and Battery streets. You will find a great place to enjoy the views of this magnificent lake. Enjoy the photos!

Middlebury, Vt.

After my 8 mile bike ride to Sandy's and then back to The Gathering Inn. I then set out for my days activities. Which was just to relax. Doing some shopping, and eat some great food. Defiantly what you should do on a great vacation.
So I hopped into that car of mine. And drove the 16 miles on route 125. Through and over the Green Mountains. To arrive in classic Vermont town of Middlebury. I enjoyed an excellent turkey and cheese big salad for lunch. At Nonnie's Deli. Thank you Amanda for the good advise. I also found and looked through the goods at 3 thrift stores that are located in Middlebury. No treasure found. However I did feel very relaxed at this point in the day. The next part of the day was a scenic drive north on route 7. Which parallels the coast of Lake Champlain. All the way to visit Vermont's only major city. The city of Burlington. I have become very accustomed and appreciative to this beautiful and relaxing city. Located on the east shore of Lake Champlain.
