A Trenton Long Weekend

I enjoyed a very nice long Simcoe Day Long Weekend. Thanks to good friends Sandie and Keith. Who were good enough to be great hosts for a short a memorable vacation. Even getting away from it all for 3 days. Also just traveling a short distance from home. Can still be a very nice vacation.
The destination for 3 day long weekend. Was the town of Trenton. Located some 100 miles (160 KM) east of Toronto. The town of Trenton is located on the beautiful "Bay of Quite". Also is home to an Royal Canadian Air Force Base. Situated to the west of Trenton is "Prince Edward County". Which is a wonderful place to live and visit in the Province of Ontario.

This short however quality trip. Began after work on Friday. I left the city of Toronto and the rat race behind. To avoid the heavy and congested traffic. That is a normal part of getting away or returning from vacation. Driving from the city of Toronto area.

This short trip consisted of relaxing in the peaceful and tranquil surroundings. Enjoying some great food and drink. Swmming in Lake Ontario. Also getting in some fun exercise by biking around and enjoying "Prince Edward County".

The following pictures are of "The Murray Canal". Which is a part of the "Trent-Severen" waterway. Connecting The "Bay of Quinte" and "Lake Ontario". One of 4 ways to enter the island of "Prince Edward County". An excellent place to enjoy a summer holiday.
