Biking Across The Peace Bridge
Today was a very fun day! I finally biked across the Peace Bridge from Fort Erie. A great friend Steve also went on this exciting bike ride. The weather conditions were near perfect. There is a safe pedesterian path on the Peace Bridge. Very suitable for walking or biking across this historic bridge. That opened for traffic between Fort Erie Ontario, Canada and Buffalo NY, USA in 1927. The new entrance for pedestrians or bike riders to enter the Peace Bridge is now located off of Queen St, across from the traffic circle. The length of the Peace Bridge is 1.77 KM. It was a real adventure biking to the USA and back home to Canada today. Enjoy the photos! Steve and I had to enter back into Canada through the car lanes. But bike riders were given priority, for safety reasons! The photos from this adventure today were taken using an Olympus X-42 digital camera. That uses an XD memory card.
