State Arboretum of Virginia

For the last day of holiday. We drove from Charles Town West Virginia to visit the city of Winchester, Virginia. After a nice visit at a tourist office located in Winchester. We decided to relax and enjoy a visit to the State Arboretum of Virginia. It is a very nice place again to relax and to enjoy being on vacation. I have incldued some photos!
The State Arboretum of Virginia is part of Blandy Experimental Farm, a research field station for the University of Virginia. The Arboretum collection includes a Virginia Native Plant Trail, the largest variety of boxwood cultivars in North America, and more than 6,000 trees and woody shurbs including a third of the world's pine species. The collection emphasizes native trees and woody shrubs and their exotic relatives. It is the only mature arboretum on limestone soils on the east coast. The grounds are open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year, free of charge.
