The Warren -Blueberry Lake Loop

The "Warren Store" The beginning and end of this great bike ride.

Yesterday I came up with an idea of creating my own Vermont Bike Ride. And why not I have spent so much quality time here. I am very privileged to feel like a Vermont local. This ride combines my favorite Vermont village. Which is Warren and also the beauty and serenity of Blueberry Lake.

I am hoping to complete this bike ride tomorrow. The route will consist of; Starting in the village of Warren. It is a short ride to get to Vermont Route 100. Then turn left or south on Route 100. There are some uphill and downhill sections of this 6 mile stretch of Vt. Route 100. Until you reach the Plunkton Rd. Then you will have some uphill  peddling traveling up Plunkton Rd. until you reach Blueberry Lake. Go for a wonderful swim in Blueberry Lake if the weather permits. Continue on the Plunkton Rd. past Blueberry Lake for about 3 miles. Most of this route will be downhill until you reach Brook Rd. Turn left onto Brook Rd. Most of this part of the journey is also downhill and will take you to where you began this bike ride. At the Warren Store in the village of Warren. Enjoy!

The distance for this exhilarating bike ride is 12.6 miles or 20.28 KM.

This ride was excellent! The weather was a perfect Vermont Day for enjoying being outside. Also I wanted to alert other cyclists who will do this ride. That shortly after you start heading south on Route 100 after you leave the village of Warren. You will pass by "Warren Falls". Voted one of the best places to swim in the U.S.A on a hot summer day. I myself prefer to swim in Blueberry Lake. One of the best reasons is. That Blueberry Lake will always be less populated than Warren Falls Also the water in Blueberry Lake is usually warmer then Warren Falls. I have included my photos from the great bike ride today!

The following photos are from the beginning of this ride. Leaving the village of Warren then south on Route 100.

Part 2 of the bike ride- East on the Plunkton until you reach Blueberry Lake. Please note that Plunkton Rd. Is a dirt road. Usually it is grated and kept in good shape.

The final part of the bike ride. Takes you on a downhill odyssey continuing on Plunkton Rd. Until you reach Brook Rd. Turn left on Brook Rd. And you will glide downhill until you reach Main Street. Turn left on Main St. and you will arrive at the Warren Store. Where you can enjoy a wonderful Vermont Lunch!

A Day in The Life of Vermont!

                                        Moss Glen Falls- Granville

Looking towards the Gathering Inn- Hancock
Very hot today but a great day of this vacation. I'm sure most people would be totally bored on vacation in Vermont. After all where I am located in the village of Hancock. There are no fast food restaurants, no posh nightclubs, no gambling, no decadent shopping, and no movie theaters. The only element that you will find the abundant of in the Green Mountain State. Is sheer and stunning beauty. In a very clean and natural vibrant environment. Yes I love to be here in Vermont. For me it is the perfect place to enjoy life and to hide away from a human world that is both losing a positive direction and perspective. Maybe this will change for the better in the future. We can only and always hope for the best! I have included some photos of my day in the life of Vermont!!!

A Brave New World

Very happy to report. I am writing this post from the friendly confines of the "Green Mountain State" of Vermont. Yes it is a great pleasure to enjoy another happy time in "The Land of Green". As holidays can prove to be a great stress relief from the burdens of normal life. I personally feel that I have been let free from a prison. Getting the chance to get away from the "Greater Toronto Area". Total gridlock and overcrowding are the norm now in Canada's largest city. With no let up in sight. The quality of life as we know it in The Greater Toronto Area. Will only continue to decline moving into the future. I believe that more and more destructed people living in the GTA would move away. To a friendlier and less populated area. If they economically could. Most people like myself. Can only grin and bear it. Dreaming of the day. When maybe it could be possible to leave the Greater Toronto Area for good.

I arrived yesterday in Hancock, Vermont. Traveling from my home in Brampton. Making the trip in slightly more than 9 hours. Which it record time for me, travelling to Vermont. The route I selected to get here was the correct one. Also the weather conditions were perfect. When I arrived! It made me feel. That I have arrived in a Brave New World! Compared to what is now left of the quality of life I use to remember and enjoy in the old world, of yesterday.

Peace and beauty can be found in all parts of this place they call Vermont. It has always presented the perfect venue for a great vacation for me. For the only bad part of coming on a vacation to Vermont. Is having to leave to go home. I can only keep the dream alive and well. For spending the rest of my days living on Planet Earth. Here in this glorious place know as Vermont. I have included a few photos since arriving in "The Green Mountain State" yesterday.

Blueberry Lake- Of Dreams!

One of my favorite experiences visiting the Green Mountain State of Vermont. Is visiting "Blueberry Lake" located near the village of Warren. I can honestly say. That on a beautiful summer day. Their is no better place to be then a visit to the lake. That was man made. Which is hard to believe. As this scenic and crystal clear lake. Looks like is was definably meant to be here.

I wanted to share an article that was published "Suagarbush Magazine" 2015-16. This article is by Peter Oliver.

Thank You "Land of Enchantment"

The drive into Carlsbad Caverns National Park

Reminiscing about wonderful experiences is always good! I have to admit I selected another fantastic destination for my vacation to visit the U.S. State of New Mexico. For the American State of New Mexico. Includes all of the elements that can create a dream vacation!

The "Land of Enchantment is a place of extreme beauty! Where the  natural desert scenery combined with the mountains that are predominant throughout the state. Is what makes New Mexico a very wonderful place to be.

Also I enjoyed two of the very special places that are a big part of the "Land of Enchantment". Which includes "Carlsbad Caverns National Park" and "The White Sands National Monument". Both are very high on the Travel Wolfe's list of must to enjoy places located on our Planet Earth! Driving an automobile in the wide open spaces in New Mexico is a pure joy. Where you get to drive for miles surrounded by nature's beauty. A lot of the time not even seeing another vehicle. This is a huge contrast to driving in today's urban environment. Where you are almost completely overwhelmed by gridlock and drivers that are in a desperate hurry. Are also driving distracted without using any common sense.

New Mexico also has a charming and interesting history. The town of Los Alamos is the place where the atomic age became a reality. I found it to be a very compelling experience. To actually be in this place. Where sadly the development of atomic energy became a necessity. For us human beings to have survived and made it to the year 2017. A huge thanks to Albert Einstein, and Dr. Robert Oppenheimer. And to all those who participated. Helping the U.S. to devise and construct the "Manhattan Project". I also found myself during my trip. Only a very short distant away from the "Trinity Site". Where the first test of a nuclear devise took place on July 16, 1945. For the continuation of mankind to survive. I do hope that nuclear weapons of any kind will never be used again!

A big plus on this wonderful adventure were the warm and sunny days. That were almost my constant companion during my time spent in the "Land of Enchantment". The fresh and clean air and some of the bluest skies that I have ever enjoyed. Where a very special part of this journey. A huge thanks to "Mother Nature". I couldn't enjoy all of the wonderful time I have spent traveling. Without your precious help! The "Travel Wolfe" is very grateful!

To all of the wonderful people I met in New Mexico. It was great meeting you all. Hoping I will get to see you again one day soon! The wonderful New Mexican Cuisine I did enjoy during this trip. Was my fuel for enjoying this wonderful time!

Yes traveling can be a wonderful experience in our lives. Thankfully it has been in my life! For traveling is worth all of the expense and effort to make it possible. Because it is one of the best chances we have. To enjoy "Quality Time" in our lives! The "Land of Enchantment" will now and always be. A very special part of my life!
