Today was a special day for the "Travel Wolfe". I finally made it and got to experience a visit to "Carlsbad Caverns". This awesome place is truly one of the greatest Natural Wonders of our Planet Earth.
My fascination with Carlsbad Caverns began many years ago. After I watched the science- fiction classic movie "Journey To The Center Of The Earth". This 1959 movie was adapted from Jules Verne's imagination. Telling the story of group of dedicated adventures who attempt to achieve the dream of finding the lost kingdom of "Atlantis" at the Center of the Earth. Just as a fabled Icelandic explorer Arnie Saccnuson had achieved!
Some of the scenes for this classic science-fiction movie were shot on location at Carlsbad Caverns. To try and make the fantasy of hiking for a long distance underground. Appear to be absolutely real! In the 1959 movie. A passage to an underground path leading to far reaches underground. Was discovered in a mountain in Iceland. The group of adventurers set out on a quest to find the Center of the Earth. Hiking underground from Iceland to Stromboli Italy.
My experience today brought to life. The imagination we humans enjoy. The dream of discovery. To accomplish our dreams! Which will make our lives enjoyable and exciting! I have included the photos of my marvellous experience today!. Plus photos from the 7 mile scenic drive in and out of "Carlsbad Caverns National Park" Which is also very inspiring!
