The "Data" Watch

Accompanying me on this trip is an antique collectible. I picked up. Just 1 week prior to my departure.

It is a Casio DBC-610 digital data bank watch. This watch was made in 1985. With the installation of a brand new battery. This relic from our past. Sprang back to life. To the credit of this watch. It is a bit of a miracle is has survived to still be in good working condition. In the year 2012. This timepiece contains a lot of very useful capability. That was ahead of it's time when it came onto the scene in 1988.

This wrist watch contains all of the normal features of a digital watch. Which are; stop watch, alarm, and countdown timer. This Casio 610 can also keep time in other world zones. Store very useful information. Which includes; phone numbers, passwords, or e-mail addresses. Also this watch is a mathematical calculator, and can keep track of important dates; appointments, birthdays, or events.

This predecessor to Apple's Iphone. Has been a useful tool to the Travel Wolfe. You can't get enough help. When you are traveling solo on the road of life!

Maybe Casio will one day come out with a Internet phone watch. That will give Apple a challenge for the gadget dollars.
